To me the attitude to shootouts is that you havent been good enough to win in 90 mins so you have basically lost.
And then you have a second chance that you dont deserve

These days, all pens are checked by VAR. The ref will have reminded the GKs in advance. It was the only penalty that the keeper's came forward before the ball was kicked

You can tell Premier league refs were involved tonight, decided on a shabby VAR decision on encroachment on pen shoot out. Absolute bullshit decision.

This could be us next week....I'm sure we'll be practicing every day. I noted at the end of the Luton v Coventry final, the Luton players said they were taking practice penalties for three weeks leading up to the Championship final.

One of the worst games of football I’ve ever seen.
